 I agree that there will be a negligible difference due to  the increase in length of the diameter of the rotor, but  since the issue was not with the heat transfer properties of  the rotor (still had plenty of grab in the brakes on the  previous braking zone & every lap prior) & due to the lack  of cooling for the caliper & lines & due to the relatively  low (577 degree) boiling point of the fluid. Remember -- I lost the pedal, went to the floor, a textbook  characteristic of boiling the fluid -- the pedal was not  "firm with no grip" which would be indicative of the rotor  not doing it's job.
